A new class action lawsuit has been filed against a major footwear company, alleging that one of its popular shoe models poses significant safety risks to consumers. On October 17, 2025, Ronen Benvenisti filed a complaint in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, targeting Skechers U.S.A., Inc. The case centers around allegations that the company’s Go-Walk-7 shoes are defectively designed and create dangerous trip hazards.

The plaintiff, Ronen Benvenisti, is pursuing this legal action on behalf of himself and others who have purchased and used the Go-Walk-7 shoes. According to the complaint, Skechers negligently designed these shoes, which allegedly stick to non-porous flooring surfaces due to their suction-like grip. This design flaw is claimed to cause significant trip hazards for users. The lawsuit accuses Skechers of failing to adequately warn consumers about these potential dangers despite knowing or having reason to know about them. It also alleges that Skechers concealed testing results and avoided research that could have revealed the defects in order to protect its sales.

Benvenisti’s legal team argues that Skechers engaged in misleading marketing practices by promoting the Go-Walk-7 without disclosing known risks associated with its use. They claim that these actions constitute negligence and breach of implied warranties under Florida law. The complaint seeks damages for economic and non-economic losses suffered by Benvenisti and other class members as a result of using the defective product.

The lawsuit outlines several causes of action against Skechers, including negligence and strict liability for product defects. It claims that Skechers manufactured and sold a shoe that was unreasonably dangerous when used as intended, leading to injuries among consumers like Benvenisti. Furthermore, it asserts that there were feasible design improvements available that could have mitigated these risks but were not implemented by the company.

In terms of relief sought from the court, Benvenisti demands compensatory and consequential damages on behalf of himself and all similarly situated individuals who have experienced harm due to the Go-Walk-7 shoes. The plaintiff also requests a jury trial for all issues triable by jury.

Representing Benvenisti are attorneys from Morton Antman P.A., based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and David A. Hagen P.A., located in Miami Beach, Florida. As this case progresses through the legal system under Case Number 502025CA010768XXXAMB Div: AH, it will be presided over by judges from Palm Beach County’s Circuit Court.
