A Deltona man has pleaded guilty to attempting to entice a minor to engage in sexual activity, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Florida. Keiron Jashua Williams, 23, entered his plea and now faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in federal prison, with the possibility of life imprisonment. A date for sentencing has not yet been scheduled.
According to court documents, the case began in June 2025 when a detective from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office posed online as a 13-year-old girl. Williams initiated contact with the undercover account and, after learning he was communicating with someone he believed to be underage, proceeded with sexually explicit conversations. On July 5, 2025, Williams was arrested after traveling to Marion County with the intention of meeting the minor for sexual activity. Authorities found an unopened box of condoms, a video game system, and marijuana in his vehicle at the time of arrest.
The investigation involved both the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations. Assistant United States Attorney Sarah Janette Swartzberg is prosecuting the case.
“This case was brought as part of Project Safe Childhood, a nationwide initiative launched in May 2006 by the Department of Justice to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exploitation and abuse. Led by United States Attorneys’ Offices and the Criminal Division’s Child Exploitation and Obscenity Section (CEOS), Project Safe Childhood marshals federal, state, and local resources to locate, apprehend, and prosecute individuals who sexually exploit children, and to identify and rescue victims.
