A Florida resident has taken legal action against a company accused of operating an unlicensed substance abuse treatment facility. Mark Wilson filed a complaint on September 3, 2025, in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, against El Moon Holdings, LLC.
The case centers around allegations that El Moon Holdings, LLC managed a substance abuse treatment facility without proper licensure at their premises located in Lantana, Florida. According to the complaint, Wilson was attacked while on the premises on October 20, 2024. The plaintiff argues that the defendant failed to provide adequate security measures despite being aware of criminal activities in and around the area. “Defendant EL MOON HOLDINGS, LLC was in a superior position to appreciate such hazards,” states the complaint.
Wilson accuses El Moon Holdings of negligence for not maintaining a safe environment and failing to implement necessary security measures. The lawsuit claims that these oversights led to his assault and subsequent injuries. Additionally, it alleges that the defendant’s operation of an unlicensed facility constitutes negligence per se under Chapter 397 of Florida Statutes.
The plaintiff seeks damages exceeding $50,000 for bodily injury, pain and suffering, medical expenses, and other related losses. He demands a jury trial and requests any further relief deemed appropriate by the court.
