A former patient has filed a lawsuit against a dentist, alleging years of negligent orthodontic treatment that led to worsened dental conditions. The complaint was filed by Kyleigh Farrell in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, on September 11, 2025, against William A. Domeyer DDS and his professional association.
According to the complaint, Farrell began receiving dental care from Dr. Domeyer on July 9, 2012, and continued under his care until July 20, 2023. During this period, Farrell claims that Dr. Domeyer deviated from the prevailing professional standard of care in multiple ways. The allegations include failing to perform comprehensive dental examinations and not properly evaluating whether Farrell was an appropriate candidate for orthodontics. Furthermore, it is alleged that Dr. Domeyer offered orthodontic options without surgery that he knew or should have known would not be successful and could worsen her condition over time.
Farrell’s complaint details several specific instances of negligence by Dr. Domeyer: failure to diagnose and assess conditions within her oral cavity properly; lack of timely assessments and diagnoses; inadequate recording of treatment justifications; continuation of ineffective treatments despite signs of worsening conditions; and failure to obtain informed consent for treatments provided. As a result of these actions, Farrell asserts she suffered permanent injuries including emotional and physical pain, loss of enjoyment of life, and incurred significant medical expenses.
The lawsuit seeks compensatory damages exceeding $30,000 exclusive of interest and costs from both Dr. Domeyer individually and his professional association for negligence and vicarious liability respectively. Farrell demands a jury trial on all issues presented in the case.
Representing Farrell is attorney Max R. Price from the Law Offices of Max R. Price P.A., based in Miami, Florida. The case has been assigned Case Number 502025CA009274XXXAMB Div: AF in the Circuit Court for Palm Beach County.
