Dale Robinson, a former supervisor at Miami-Dade Transit, and his wife Marcia Robinson have been sentenced following their guilty pleas in a federal bribery case. U.S. District Judge K. Michael Moore delivered the sentences after Dale Robinson admitted to soliciting a bribe related to Metrorail repair and maintenance contracts, while Marcia Robinson pleaded guilty to misprision of a felony for aiding in concealing the scheme.

Dale Robinson received an 18-month prison sentence followed by three years of supervised release. A forfeiture judgment of $75,956 was also issued against him, which he has already paid. Marcia Robinson was sentenced to three years of probation due to her lesser involvement.

Court documents revealed that Dale Robinson, who served as acting General Superintendent and lead Rail Structure and Track Supervisor at Miami-Dade Transit, sought a bribe from Jessie Bledsoe of JB Railroad Contracting, Inc., during January 2021. The bribe was intended to influence contractor selection for an upcoming welding project on the Metrorail system.

Marcia Robinson established Tailored Railroads & Consulting LLC in Maryland at her husband’s direction to facilitate the bribery scheme. Between February 2021 and February 2022, she sent invoices for services never rendered to JB Railroad, leading Bledsoe to issue checks totaling $75,956 as part of the bribe.

Despite not knowing all details of the illegal agreement between her husband and Bledsoe, Marcia Robinson’s actions helped conceal the criminal activity by not reporting it.

Jessie Bledsoe has also pled guilty in connection with this case and is scheduled for sentencing on October 3, 2025.

The announcement was made by U.S. Attorney Hayden P. O’Byrne for the Southern District of Florida alongside FBI Special Agent Brett D. Skiles and Inspector General Felix Jimenez from MDC-OIG.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Edward N. Stamm prosecuted the case with Assistant U.S. Attorney Marx Calderon handling forfeiture matters.
