A Florida woman has filed a lawsuit against a local golf club, claiming negligence led to her severe injuries. On October 9, 2025, Dawn C. Andres lodged a complaint in the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County against Grand Slam Club of Crescent Oaks, Inc., doing business as Crescent Oaks Golf Club.

The case centers around an incident on September 17, 2025, when Andres was visiting the Crescent Oaks Golf Club as an invitee. While walking on the sidewalk to her friend’s car parked near a handicapped ramp, she encountered a drop-off ledge in the concrete and fell, resulting in serious injuries. Andres asserts that the golf club failed to maintain safe premises and neglected its duty to warn her of potential hazards. The complaint accuses the defendant of allowing “an improper means of egress and regress” to exist on their property.

According to the filing, Grand Slam Club of Crescent Oaks had both actual and constructive knowledge of the dangerous condition but did not take action to rectify it. The lawsuit outlines several allegations against the golf club: failing to inspect and ensure compliance with code requirements for pedestrian walkways, neglecting to warn visitors about unsafe conditions, maintaining hazardous walkways, improperly constructing pathways contrary to code requirements, and designing walkways with excessive slopes lacking slip-resistant surfaces.

As a result of these alleged failures by the defendant, Andres claims she suffered significant physical injuries affecting her body and extremities. She reports enduring pain, incurring medical expenses for treatment, experiencing mental anguish and physical handicap, losing earnings and earning capacity, suffering from diminished enjoyment of life, and aggravating pre-existing conditions. These injuries are described as permanent and ongoing.

Andres is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 from Grand Slam Club of Crescent Oaks for negligence-related losses. She demands judgment along with costs and interest while requesting a jury trial for all triable issues.

Representing Andres is Justin W. Pimenta from Abrahamson & Uiterwyk Car Accident & Injury Lawyers based in Tampa. The case is filed under Case Number 25-005656-CI.
