A Pinellas County resident has filed a lawsuit against a local homeowners association, claiming negligence after sustaining injuries on their property. On November 25, 2025, Lucinda Stratton filed a complaint in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, against Mediterranean Manors Association, Inc., alleging that the association failed to maintain safe conditions on its premises.

According to the complaint, Lucinda Stratton visited Mediterranean Manors Association’s property located at 2700 Bayshore Blvd., Dunedin, as a business invitee on August 4, 2025. The plaintiff asserts that while she was lawfully on the premises, she encountered an exterior stairwell that was not adequately maintained and subsequently slipped and fell. The fall resulted in significant personal injuries including pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, and permanent scarring. Stratton alleges that these injuries were directly caused by the defendant’s negligence in maintaining a safe environment for guests.

The complaint outlines several specific allegations against Mediterranean Manors Association. It accuses them of failing to maintain or adequately inspect the exterior stairwell, which created an unreasonably dangerous condition for visitors like Stratton. Furthermore, it claims that the association did not warn her of this danger despite being aware or should have been aware of such risks through reasonable care. Additional accusations include inadequate staffing for maintenance tasks and insufficient training for employees to identify and rectify hazardous conditions.

Stratton is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 from Mediterranean Manors Association to cover medical expenses, loss of earnings capacity, mental anguish, and other related losses. She also demands a jury trial to resolve all triable issues associated with her claim. The lawsuit emphasizes that these damages are either permanent or ongoing and will continue to affect her life adversely.

Representing Lucinda Stratton are attorneys Joel Williams and Chantel Batista Mullins from Morgan & Morgan Tampa P.A., based in Bradenton, Florida. The Case Number is: 25-006710-CI.
