In a gripping legal battle unfolding in Florida, a woman has taken legal action against a hotel and its management company following a slip-and-fall incident that she claims has left her with permanent injuries. Jennifer Wagner filed the complaint on November 7, 2025, in the Circuit Court for the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, naming Redington Beach Hotels, LLC and OTO Development, LLC as defendants.

The case centers around an incident that occurred on May 2, 2024, at the Doubletree Beach Resort in Tampa, Florida. According to the complaint, Wagner was staying at the hotel when she slipped on a puddle of fluid that had accumulated from a leaking air conditioning vent in her room. The plaintiff asserts that this leak constituted an “unreasonably dangerous condition” and alleges that both Redington Beach Hotels and OTO Development were aware or should have been aware of this hazard but failed to address it.

Wagner’s complaint details how she was lawfully present as a guest at the hotel when the accident happened. She accuses Redington Beach Hotels of failing to maintain safe conditions at their property located at 17120 Gulf Boulevard in North Redington Beach. Similarly, OTO Development is accused of neglecting its duty to manage and operate the premises safely. Both companies are alleged to have breached their responsibilities by not implementing adequate safety standards or warning guests about potential dangers posed by faulty equipment like the air conditioning vent.

The plaintiff claims damages exceeding $50,000 for bodily injury resulting in pain and suffering, disability, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life, and medical expenses. These damages are described as permanent and ongoing. Wagner seeks judgment against both defendants for these damages along with pre-judgment and post-judgment interest and court costs.

Representing Jennifer Wagner is Cardinal Law P.A., with attorneys Eric S. Olson and Alyssa M. Wesby leading her legal team. The case is presided over by judges within the Sixth Judicial Circuit under Case Number 25-0063 13-CI.
