Marie Wright has filed a lawsuit against a popular Florida restaurant, alleging negligence after a slip-and-fall incident left her with significant injuries. The complaint was lodged in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, on October 8, 2025, targeting Voodoo Bayou LLC.

The case revolves around an incident that occurred on February 22, 2025, at Voodoo Bayou’s premises located in Palm Beach Gardens. Marie Wright claims she was an invitee at the restaurant when she slipped and fell due to a liquid substance on the dining room floor—a hazard she alleges was known to the establishment but left unaddressed. According to the complaint, “Defendant had actual or constructive knowledge of said dangerous condition and should have taken action to remedy it and to warn invitees such as Plaintiff.”

Wright accuses Voodoo Bayou of failing to maintain safe premises and neglecting their duty to warn patrons about potential dangers. The complaint outlines several breaches of duty by the defendant: failure to keep the premises free from hazards like the liquid substance on which Wright slipped; inadequate warning about this danger; and not taking timely measures to eliminate it. As a result of these alleged oversights, Wright asserts she suffered “bodily injury resulting in pain and suffering, disability, significant scarring and/or disfigurement,” among other damages that are described as permanent.

The plaintiff is seeking compensatory damages exceeding $50,000 for her injuries and associated losses such as medical expenses, lost wages, and diminished earning capacity. She also requests coverage for legal costs and any additional relief deemed appropriate by the court. The demand includes a jury trial for all issues eligible for such proceedings.

Representing Marie Wright are attorneys from Britto & Herman Injury Lawyers based in Jupiter, Florida. The filing attorney is Blaze J. Walsh with Daniel D. Britto also listed as counsel for the plaintiff. The case has been assigned Case Number 502025CA010403XXXAMB Div: AK under Judge Michael A. Caruso’s jurisdiction.
