A Palatka resident, Jordon Roger Anchando, has been indicted on charges of bank robbery following his arrest on November 18, 2025. The indictment alleges that on June 2, 2025, Anchando used force, violence, and intimidation to take money from a bank whose deposits are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC).

United States Attorney Gregory W. Kehoe announced the unsealing of the indictment. If convicted, Anchando could face up to 20 years in federal prison. He is currently being held pending further proceedings.

The investigation into this case was conducted by the Belleview Police Department, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Sarah Janette Swartzberg will prosecute the case.

“This case is part of Operation Take Back America, a nationwide initiative that marshals the full resources of the Department of Justice to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve the total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations (TCOs), and protect our communities from the perpetrators of violent crime. operation Take Back America streamlines efforts and resources from the Department’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETFs) and Project Safe Neighborhood (PSN).”

Authorities emphasized that an indictment is only a formal charge and that every defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
