A Palm Beach County resident has taken legal action against a major retail corporation, claiming negligence after suffering injuries on their premises. On October 31, 2025, Anthony Jenkins filed a complaint in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, against Sam’s East Inc., alleging that the company failed to maintain a safe environment for its customers.

According to the complaint, Anthony Jenkins visited Sam’s East Inc.’s location at 4295 45th St. West Palm Beach on April 8, 2025. During his visit as a business invitee, Jenkins slipped and fell due to water accumulation under rugs near the entrance of the store. The plaintiff asserts that Sam’s East Inc., as a Florida Corporation operating in West Palm Beach, had a duty to ensure a reasonably safe environment for its patrons but breached this duty through negligence.

The complaint details several specific allegations against Sam’s East Inc., including failing to maintain the floor in a safe condition by allowing liquids or other substances to accumulate and failing to warn customers of such dangerous conditions. Furthermore, Jenkins accuses the defendant of neglecting to place warning signs or barricades and not removing hazardous substances from the floor promptly. He argues that these failures contributed directly to his accident and subsequent injuries.

Jenkins claims that as a result of Sam’s East Inc.’s negligence, he sustained severe physical and mental injuries that are either permanent or continuing in nature. These include physical impairment, disfigurement, mental anguish, and loss of enjoyment of life. The plaintiff is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 for medical expenses incurred due to his injuries and demands judgment for costs and interest from Sam’s East Inc., along with any other relief deemed appropriate by the court.

Represented by Rubenstein Law P.A., with attorney Peter Hunt leading the case, Jenkins has requested a jury trial for all triable issues. The case is filed under Case Number: 502025CA011344XXXAMB Div: AN in front of Judge Michael A. Caruso.
