Terry Terrell Crenshaw, a 39-year-old resident of Pensacola, Florida, has been indicted on several federal charges including possession with intent to distribute cocaine, marijuana, and methamphetamine; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; use of a communication facility; and maintaining drug-involved premises. The announcement was made by John P. Heekin, United States Attorney for the Northern District of Florida.

Crenshaw had his initial appearance before United States Magistrate Judge Zachary C. Bolitho at the U.S. Courthouse in Pensacola. His trial is set for April 6, 2026, at 8:30 am before District Court Judge M. Casey Rodgers.

If found guilty, Crenshaw could face significant prison time: a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years and up to life imprisonment for the drug distribution charge; 15 years to life for possession of a firearm as a convicted felon; up to four years for using a communication facility in connection with these crimes; and up to 20 years for maintaining premises involved in drug activity.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives along with the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office conducted the investigation. Assistant United States Attorney Jeffrey M. Tharp is prosecuting the case.

According to officials: “An indictment is merely an allegation by a grand jury that a defendant has committed a violation of federal criminal law and is not evidence of guilt. All defendants are presumed innocent and entitled to a fair trial, during which it will be the government’s burden to prove guilt beyond a reasonable doubt at trial.”

This prosecution falls under Operation Take Back America—a nationwide effort aimed at combating illegal immigration and dismantling cartels and transnational criminal organizations while protecting communities from violent crime.

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Florida operates as one among 94 offices serving as principal litigators under guidance from the Attorney General. Additional information about this office can be found at https://www.justice.gov/usao-ndfl.
