A Pinellas County resident has filed a lawsuit against a local hospitality business, alleging negligence that resulted in severe injuries. Melissa Pinnick initiated the complaint on October 9, 2025, in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in and for Pinellas County, Florida, targeting SRO Hospitality LLC, doing business as The Wine House + BBQ.

The legal dispute arises from an incident on October 26, 2023, when Pinnick was reportedly injured while visiting the defendant’s premises at 2913 Beach Blvd S in Gulfport, Florida. According to the complaint, SRO Hospitality LLC failed to uphold its duty of care by not maintaining safe conditions on their property. The plaintiff accuses the defendant of multiple breaches including inadequate maintenance of the premises, lack of safety measures around the injury site, and failure to conduct proper inspections or warn patrons about potential hazards. These alleged failures are claimed to have directly led to Pinnick’s severe and permanent injuries.

Melissa Pinnick contends that due to SRO Hospitality LLC’s negligence, she has endured significant physical and emotional suffering. The complaint details her injuries as causing pain and suffering, impairment, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, and loss of enjoyment of life. Furthermore, it highlights economic impacts such as medical expenses and loss of earnings capacity. The document emphasizes that these consequences are not only ongoing but will persist into the future.

In seeking justice through this lawsuit, Pinnick demands compensatory damages exceeding $50,000 exclusive of legal fees and other costs. She is pursuing compensation for both past and future losses resulting from her injuries. Additionally, she requests prejudgment interest and any further relief deemed appropriate by the court. A jury trial has been requested to resolve all triable issues.

Representing Melissa Pinnick is attorney Nadine S. Diaz from Darrigo & Diaz P.A., based in Tampa. The Case Number is: 25-005683-CI.
