In a gripping legal battle that underscores the importance of property safety, a Pinellas County resident has taken action against two corporations for alleged negligence. Rebecca Mobley filed a complaint on September 30, 2025, in the Circuit Court of Pinellas County, Florida, against Harbour Light Towers Association, Inc., and Resource Property Management, Inc. The case revolves around an incident where Mobley claims to have suffered significant injuries due to unsafe conditions at a residential community managed by the defendants.

The lawsuit stems from an incident on June 15, 2024, when Mobley visited the residential community located at 1270 Gulf Boulevard in Clearwater Beach as a lawful guest. According to the complaint, both Harbour Light Towers Association and Resource Property Management had a duty to ensure the premises were safe for invitees like Mobley. However, she alleges that they failed in this duty by allowing the parking garage floor to become dangerously uneven and mis-leveled—a condition that ultimately led to her tripping and sustaining severe injuries.

Mobley’s complaint details multiple counts of negligence against both defendants. She accuses them of failing to maintain or adequately inspect the flooring of the parking garage, neglecting to warn guests about its hazardous condition, and not correcting these dangers despite knowing or having enough time to know about them. As a result of these alleged oversights, Mobley suffered “bodily injury resulting in pain and suffering,” along with other damages such as disability and mental anguish.

Seeking justice for her ordeal, Mobley is demanding compensation exceeding $50,000 from each defendant. Her lawsuit requests damages for medical expenses incurred due to hospitalization and treatment following her fall. Additionally, she seeks compensation for loss of earnings and diminished capacity to earn money in the future due to her injuries’ lasting impact.

Representing Rebecca Mobley is attorney Robert F. McLaughlin from Morgan & Morgan Tampa P.A., who filed this case under Case Number: 25-005454-CI. The plaintiff’s legal team emphasizes their client’s right to have her case heard by a jury trial—an essential step towards obtaining fair judgment regarding liability and appropriate compensation.

This case serves as a reminder for property management companies about their responsibilities toward maintaining safe environments for residents and visitors alike while highlighting potential consequences if they fail in this regard.
