A Florida resident has filed a lawsuit against two major corporations, alleging negligence that led to personal injury. On October 8, 2025, Monica Nielsen filed a complaint in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, against Bank of America and Jones Lang LaSalle Americas, Inc.

The case revolves around an incident on August 22, 2024, when Nielsen allegedly tripped and fell due to a hazardous condition at a Bank of America property located at 14 N. Federal Hwy., Lake Worth Beach. According to the complaint, both defendants failed to maintain safe premises by leaving a hole or depression in the asphalt walkway unattended. Nielsen claims this negligence resulted in her suffering from bodily injuries and subsequent pain and suffering.

Nielsen’s lawsuit accuses Bank of America of failing to uphold its duty to ensure the safety of its premises for residents and invitees. The complaint states that the bank was responsible for maintaining walkways free from impediments and should have warned individuals about any dangerous conditions. It is alleged that Bank of America’s failure to inspect and secure the area properly led to Nielsen’s accident.

Similarly, Jones Lang LaSalle Americas is accused of neglecting its responsibility as a contractor hired by Bank of America for maintenance tasks at the site. The complaint asserts that Jones Lang failed to monitor or remedy hazardous conditions effectively. Both companies are accused of breaching their duties by not implementing adequate safety measures or providing warnings about potential dangers.

Nielsen seeks compensatory damages for her injuries, which include physical impairment, mental anguish, medical expenses, and loss of earnings capacity. She also demands a jury trial for all issues presented in the case.

Representing Monica Nielsen is attorney Max Blackman from Steinger, Greene & Feiner law firm based in West Palm Beach. The case has been assigned Case Number: 502025CA010434XXXAMB Div: AA with Judge Michael A. Caruso presiding over it.
