In a gripping legal battle, a Florida resident is taking on a prominent medical company over allegations of negligence that led to severe injuries. Susan Townsend filed a complaint in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, on October 30, 2025, against Galen Medical LLC. The case revolves around an incident where Townsend suffered significant injuries due to unsafe conditions at the defendant’s premises.

According to the complaint, Susan Townsend was walking through the parking lot of Galen Medical LLC’s property located at 880 Northwest 13th Street in Boca Raton, Florida, on March 17, 2025. During her visit as a business invitee, she unexpectedly tripped and fell due to a pothole and other hazardous conditions present in the parking lot. The plaintiff alleges that Galen Medical LLC had failed to maintain the premises safely and did not provide adequate warnings about potential dangers. “The aforesaid fall and the injuries resulting therefrom were due solely and wholly as a result of the negligent manner that the Defendant… maintained…the aforesaid Premises,” reads one section of the complaint.

Townsend claims that Galen Medical LLC breached its duty by allowing multiple unsafe conditions such as uneven surfaces, abrupt changes in elevation, holes, cracks, and depressions in their parking lot. She further accuses them of failing to inspect or correct these hazards adequately. According to Townsend’s legal representation from Morgan & Morgan P.A., these oversights violated local building codes and governmental regulations meant to ensure public safety.

The lawsuit seeks damages exceeding $50,000 for Townsend’s permanent bodily injuries sustained from her fall. These include pain and suffering both physically and mentally; disability; disfigurement; physical impairment; mental anguish; inconvenience; loss of enjoyment of life; medical expenses incurred from hospitalization and treatment; lost earnings both past and future potential income losses due to her condition being aggravated or activated by this incident.

Represented by attorney Carissa M. Peebles from Morgan & Morgan P.A., Susan Townsend demands judgment against Galen Medical LLC for their alleged negligence while also requesting interest costs along with any other relief deemed justifiable by this court proceeding under Case ID: 502025CA011274XXXAMB Div: AE presided over within Palm Beach County’s jurisdictional bounds.
