A slip-and-fall incident at a popular restaurant chain has led to a lawsuit alleging negligence and seeking substantial damages. Andre Pugliese filed a complaint on October 16, 2025, in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, against Brinker Florida, Inc., doing business as Chili’s Grill & Bar, and MDC Coast 13 LLC.

According to the court documents, Pugliese claims that while visiting the Chili’s Grill & Bar located at 21769 S State Road 7 in Boca Raton on January 13, 2024, he slipped and fell due to a wet and slippery floor near the men’s bathroom entrance. The plaintiff asserts that both defendants were negligent in maintaining safe conditions at the premises. The complaint outlines multiple allegations of negligence against Brinker Florida, Inc., including failing to dry or clean the wet hallway floor, not placing warning signs or cones around hazardous areas, and neglecting to implement adequate safety policies and procedures. Similarly, MDC Coast 13 LLC is accused of similar failures regarding maintenance and safety protocols.

Pugliese argues that these oversights created a foreseeable risk to patrons like himself. “The dangerous condition(s) at the Chili’s Grill & Bar…were neither open nor obvious,” states the complaint. As a result of this alleged negligence, Pugliese claims he suffered significant injuries resulting in pain and suffering, disability, mental anguish, loss of earnings capacity, medical expenses, and other damages.

The plaintiff seeks judgment for damages exceeding $50,000 from each defendant. He demands compensation for his injuries along with taxable costs associated with pursuing legal action. Additionally, Pugliese requests any further relief deemed appropriate by the court under these circumstances.

Representing Andre Pugliese is attorney Robert G. Goldring from The Injury Firm based in Fort Lauderdale. No specific defense attorneys are mentioned in the filing. The case is identified under Case Number: 502025CA010745XXXAMB Div: AA.
