A Florida resident has filed a lawsuit alleging negligence that resulted in severe injuries during a transport service. Dawn Prevendoski filed the complaint against Wheelchair Transport Service, Inc. in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, on February 16, 2026.

The case revolves around an incident on May 2, 2025, when employees of Wheelchair Transport Service were transporting Dawn Prevendoski between rehabilitation facilities using a stretcher. According to the complaint, during this process, the employees dropped the stretcher multiple times while Prevendoski was on it. This alleged mishandling caused her significant and permanent injuries affecting her head, neck, body, back, and limbs. The plaintiff asserts that these actions not only aggravated pre-existing conditions but also led to new physical and mental suffering.

Prevendoski claims that as a result of these injuries, she has endured and will continue to endure substantial pain and suffering. The complaint details how these injuries have impaired her ability to lead a normal life and have resulted in past and future loss of earnings. Furthermore, Prevendoski anticipates incurring significant medical expenses for ongoing treatment related to her injuries.

The plaintiff accuses Wheelchair Transport Service of failing to exercise reasonable care in their business operations—a duty they owed her as their client. She seeks judgment against the company for all damages she is entitled to under the law. Additionally, she requests compensation for legal costs associated with this action and prejudgment interest on liquidated damages. A jury trial has been demanded by Prevendoski’s legal team to resolve all issues pertaining to this case.

Representing Dawn Prevendoski are attorneys Tony Griffith, Ryan Bresler, and Justin Peterson from Tanney, Griffith & Bresler P.A., based in Clearwater, Florida.  Case Number 26-001024-CI.
