Terry Ball, a resident of Crook County, Wyoming, has filed a lawsuit against Target Corporation following an incident that occurred on December 23, 2023. The complaint was filed in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida on November 12, 2025. The plaintiff alleges negligence on the part of Target Corporation due to unsafe conditions at one of its store locations in Largo, Florida.

According to the complaint, Terry Ball was shopping in the baby products section at a Target store located at 10500 Ulmerton Road when she slipped and fell on a fine, gritty substance present on the floor. This fall resulted in severe injuries for Ball. The plaintiff asserts that Target Corporation had a duty to maintain its premises in a safe condition and either remedy or warn customers about any hazardous conditions. “The dangerous condition existed for a sufficient length of time so that Defendant knew or should have known,” claims the lawsuit.

Ball’s legal team argues that Target Corporation breached its duties by negligently allowing such conditions to persist without adequate warning or timely inspections. As a result of this alleged negligence, Ball sustained significant injuries including permanent loss of bodily function and aggravation of pre-existing conditions. She is seeking damages exceeding $50,000 for pain and suffering, medical expenses, and other related costs incurred due to her injuries.

In addition to monetary compensation, Terry Ball demands a jury trial to resolve these issues. Her attorneys from Tripp Law Firm are actively pursuing justice on her behalf against Target Corporation for what they describe as preventable negligence.

Representing Terry Ball are attorneys George Alan Tripp Jr., Esq., and Richard E. Macdonald, Esq., from Tripp Law Firm based in Seminole, Florida. The case is identified under Case Number: 25-006416-CI.
