A lawsuit has been filed against a company accused of violating telemarketing laws by sending text messages with improper caller ID information. On January 31, 2026, Asher Walli filed a complaint in the Circuit Court of the Sixth Judicial Circuit in Pinellas County, Florida, against Ranch Dress’n, LLC. The plaintiff alleges that the defendant violated Florida’s Telephone Solicitation Act (FTSA) by failing to provide a callable phone number in their telephonic sales calls.

The complaint details how Ranch Dress’n allegedly breached the FTSA’s Caller ID Rules, which mandate that any telephonic sales call must transmit a telephone number capable of receiving calls to the consumer’s caller identification service. According to Walli, Ranch Dress’n sent numerous promotional text messages from numbers that could not receive incoming calls. These actions are claimed to be part of Ranch Dress’n’s marketing strategy and are said to contravene essential consumer protection provisions designed to ensure transparency and accountability in telemarketing practices.

Walli received multiple text message advertisements from Ranch Dress’n between December 28, 2022, and July 24, 2023. Each message was sent using either “877-324-4211” or “61396,” neither of which were capable of receiving return calls. This practice allegedly violates the FTSA’s Caller ID Rules because it does not allow consumers to contact the sender directly for inquiries or complaints about the solicitations they receive.

The plaintiff is seeking several forms of relief from the court. These include liquidated damages amounting to $500 for each violation committed by Ranch Dress’n, as well as declaratory relief affirming that the company’s actions violated state law. Additionally, Walli requests an injunction compelling Ranch Dress’n to comply with Caller ID regulations by ensuring that all future telephonic sales communications include a valid and callable phone number.

The legal team representing Asher Walli comprises attorneys Joshua A. Glickman and Shawn A. Heller from Social Justice Law Collective, PL based in Dunedin, Florida. The case is identified under Case Number: 26-000642-CI and will be presided over in Pinellas County’s Circuit Court.
