A day at the beach turned into a nightmare for one woman, who is now seeking justice after a traumatic incident on an inflatable water slide. Ava Santaniello filed a complaint against All Around Amusements, LLC, formerly known as Big Event Slides, in the Circuit Court of Pinellas County, Florida, on February 16, 2026. The lawsuit stems from an incident that occurred on June 9, 2024, when Santaniello suffered severe injuries while using the company’s water slide.

According to the complaint, Santaniello was enjoying a day at Treasure Island Beach in Pinellas County when she purchased an “all-day pass” to ride a large outdoor inflatable water slide operated by Big Event Slides. Unbeknownst to her, one of the lanes of the slide had a significant tear. Despite this dangerous condition being present and known to the company’s agents and employees on site that day, Santaniello was allowed to use the slide. As she descended the slide, her left foot and leg slipped into the tear, causing her body to swing forward and hang upside down with her leg trapped in the tear. This resulted in serious bodily injuries.

The lawsuit accuses All Around Amusements of negligence under Florida’s premises liability law. It claims that the company failed in its duty to maintain safe conditions for its invitees by not repairing or warning about the dangerous tear in the slide. The plaintiff argues that Big Event Slides had actual notice of this hazardous condition yet neglected their responsibility to address it or inform patrons like herself. As per Santaniello’s allegations, this breach of duty directly led to her injuries which include permanent disfigurement and scarring as well as ongoing physical and mental suffering.

Santaniello seeks damages exceeding $50,000 exclusive of costs and interest from All Around Amusements for their alleged negligence. She contends that due to her injuries sustained from this incident, she has incurred substantial medical expenses and will continue to do so in efforts to alleviate her suffering. Furthermore, she asserts that these injuries have caused a loss of earnings and diminished earning capacity impacting her ability to lead a normal life.

Representing Ava Santaniello are attorneys Timothy M. Ingram Sr., Timothy M. Ingram Jr., Megan E. Ingram, and Mark L. Hilberath from Ingram Injury Law P.A., based in Clearwater, Florida. Case Number 26-001027-CI.
