A Florida resident has taken legal action against a condominium association and its management company, alleging negligence after suffering a severe fall. Monica Patricia Pazmino filed the complaint in the Circuit Court of the 157th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, on November 19, 2025, naming Casa Costa Condominium Association, Inc., and Castle Management, LLC as defendants.
The case revolves around an incident that occurred on July 1, 2024. According to the complaint, Pazmino was a lawful resident and invitee at Casa Costa Condominiums when she slipped on water or liquid that had accumulated outside an elevator on the third floor. The fall resulted in serious injuries for Pazmino. She claims that both Casa Costa Condominium Association and Castle Management failed in their duty to maintain safe conditions on the premises. The lawsuit alleges multiple failures by both defendants, including not maintaining safe premises, failing to correct known dangerous conditions promptly, inadequate inspection and maintenance procedures for wet floors, lack of safety devices like mats or absorbent runners in high-risk areas, insufficient warnings about hazardous conditions, and failure to provide slip-resistant flooring.
Pazmino asserts that these oversights directly led to her injuries which include bodily harm resulting in pain and suffering, disability, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of enjoyment of life’s activities, medical expenses for treatment and care as well as loss of earnings potential. She contends that these damages are permanent or ongoing and will continue into the future.
The plaintiff is seeking compensatory damages exceeding $50,000 from each defendant along with taxable costs and interest. She demands a jury trial for all issues eligible for such proceedings under Florida law. The legal representation for Monica Patricia Pazmino is provided by Orlan Injury Law PLLC with Joshua E.
