In a gripping legal battle, a Florida resident has taken her grievances to court following an unfortunate incident that left her injured. Jennifer Rubio filed a complaint on August 22, 2025, in the Circuit Court of the 15th Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida, against Sheffield Woods at Wellington Condominium Association, Inc. and GRS Management Associates, Inc. The lawsuit stems from allegations of negligence related to unsafe conditions on the property where she resides.

According to the complaint, Jennifer Rubio claims that both Sheffield Woods at Wellington Condominium Association and GRS Management Associates failed in their duty to maintain safe conditions on the common grounds of their property. On October 23, 2024, Rubio was reportedly walking her dog when she stepped into a concealed hole covered with grass on the premises located near Quaye Lake Circle in Wellington. This incident resulted in significant injuries for Rubio. The plaintiff argues that both defendants knew or should have known about ongoing underground power services involving shrubbery removal and digging activities which created hazardous conditions.

Rubio accuses Sheffield Woods and GRS Management of negligence by not ensuring that the hole was visible or blocked off properly to prevent accidents. She further alleges that they failed to warn residents of potential dangers and did not conduct timely inspections to identify such hazards. As per the complaint, these oversights led to her suffering physical injuries and exacerbated pre-existing conditions, causing pain, mental anguish, lost wages, and diminished earning capacity.

Jennifer Rubio is seeking judgment for damages exceeding $50,000 along with coverage for medical expenses incurred due to her injuries. Additionally, she demands compensation for costs associated with the lawsuit and requests a jury trial to address all issues presented in this case.

Representing Jennifer Rubio are attorneys Jeffrey M. Braxton, Robert H. Stein, and Craig A. Posner from The South Florida Injury Law Firm based in Coral Springs, Florida. The case is identified under Case Number: 502025CA008578XXXAMB Div: AH.
