Torrey Taylor, a 45-year-old resident of Tampa, has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute and distribution of cocaine and at least 50 grams of methamphetamine. The sentence was handed down by U.S. District Judge Thomas P. Barber. Taylor entered a guilty plea on August 28, 2025.

Court documents indicate that Taylor worked with co-defendant Temeko Evans to distribute the drugs. Detectives from the Tampa Police Department carried out controlled purchases from both individuals between February 11 and March 26, 2025. These transactions included about two ounces each of crack cocaine and methamphetamine.

Evans pleaded guilty on October 2, 2025, and is set for sentencing on December 18, 2025.

The Drug Enforcement Administration and the Tampa Police Department investigated the case. Assistant United States Attorney Jeff Chang is prosecuting.
