The U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida announced on Apr. 10 that it is requesting quotes from vendors for a renovation project on the thirteenth floor of its Jacksonville courthouse.
The project aims to update the library space at the Bryan Simpson U.S. Federal Courthouse, located at 300 North Hogan Street in Jacksonville, Florida. The scope of work includes painting, drywall and wood touch-ups, removal and installation of shelving, and refinishing vinyl composition tile (VCT) flooring.
According to the court’s notice, this solicitation will be subject to competitive bidding among multiple vendors. Interested parties are required to submit their quotes by the specified deadline; late submissions will only be considered if deemed in the best interest of court services and if they do not cause undue delays in procurement.
The court stated that it intends to make a firm-fixed-price award based on the lowest price technically acceptable quote received. Vendors are encouraged to submit their best and final offers because no negotiations will take place after offers are submitted.
The notice also clarified that submitting an offer does not obligate the government to pay any costs incurred during preparation or guarantee a contract award if none of the proposals meet necessary specifications.
